Carolyn Walsh practices in counseling and psychotherapy is holistic, somatic and/or psychodynamic. It ranges from brief, solution-focused to in-depth, long term work. In addition, she has spent 114 hours, including a practicum learning Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in the treatment of trauma. Recently, she completed 216 hours of Level II Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training in attachment, development and trauma. As of October 2008, Carolyn became certified as a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist after completing 140 hours of Level III coursework and practicum. From May 4-6, 2015, she completed a 19 hour EMDR 3-Day Intensive Training: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing course with Linda Curran, BCP, LPC, CACD, CCDPD.
Carolyn Walsh is a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the states of Washington and Vermont. She graduated from St. Lawrence University with a BA in Sociology (1970), Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work with a Masters in Social Work (1972), and University of Vermont with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling (1984). In each two year period, she completed a minimum of forty continuing education credits. Sh is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the Vermont and Washington Mental Health Counselors Associations. She has been a counselor since 1972.
