Deb is the owner of Journey of Grace Counseling, LLC and has been in the counseling profession for 10 years, including time spent as a school counselor. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor and a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. She holds undergraduate degrees in Business Administration from UW-Stevens Point and Communications from UW-Oshkosh plus Masters in both Counseling Education and Clinical Mental Health from UW-Oshkosh. Deb brings a wealth of life experience to counseling including working in business, community volunteering, school involvement, parenting and sports.

Her specialties include: anxiety disorders, stress management, performance enhancement, weight loss, depression, women’s issues, life transitions, marital therapy, abuse, trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). An additional area of interest includes working with children on issues that surface around school, anxiety, stress and self-esteem. She works with ages 12 and up, adolescents, adults and couples.

Deb is passionate about working with clients as they journey to be the best version of themselves. She believes in supporting clients in a collaborative manner, honoring that each client is a unique individual, who is an expert on their own life. They are a reflection of the life situations, choices, goals, values and actions that have been a part of the life they have lived.

“I believe counseling is a process as unique as each individual. It is a journey of empowerment where I, as a counselor, assist people in eliminating or shifting the limiting or negative patterns and behaviors that get in the way of being their best self. I use Brainspotting as a tool to access those beliefs that are ‘stuck’ in our brain and body.”

Deb believes that the counseling process is a journey of grace, since she feels honored by the presence of each person and their individual journey.

If your state isn’t green, or if you don’t see a provider who meets your specific needs, please see the “Don’t see a provider who meets your needs here?” section below so we can get to work finding you a good fit.

Please mention that you were referred by Healing TREE when / if you reach out to anyone in our Approved Care Network. Special rates and scheduling arrangements may be possible with some of our providers.

The providers alone, and not Healing TREE, are responsible for the care that they provide. Healing TREE has, to the best of our ability, vetted their practices and made sure that they understand, are capable of, and trained in treating trauma. Please note: We do not check licenses / certificates for providers within treatment facilities. Please contact the facility directly for updated licensure. Currently, our network of approved care and supplemental care providers is only in the USA. If you have any questions or concerns about any of these providers, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Don’t see a provider who meets your needs here?
