Jean has more than 20 years experience as a clinical social worker and counselor As a psychotherapist, Jean specializes in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD and complex developmental trauma. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered and draws upon attachment-based, mindfulness-focused, trauma-informed and evidence-based behavioral modalities. Jean specializes in Somatic, Attachment-Focused EMDR (SAFE EMDR) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which she provides both intensively as adjunct therapy and on an on-going basis. Jean has completed specialized advanced training in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Structural Dissociation/Ego States work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindful Self-Compassion, and she also draws upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic modalities.
