He has conducted the Broadway productions of Frozen, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Something Rotten, Newsies, The Book of Mormon, Elf, Promises, Promises, Next to Normal, Bye Bye Birdie, 13, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Fiddler On The Roof, Avenue Q, 42nd Street, and Les Miserables. He has played keyboards in 50+ Broadway pit orchestras. He can be heard on the Original Broadway Cast recordings of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Something Rotten, Disney’s Newsies, Elf, Promises Promises. Michael Kuennen

Michael Kuennen has served as the bassist on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone, Promises, Promises, Elf, Cinderella and Something Rotten, as well as subbing on over 40 other shows.
Off Broadway credits include Kid Victory, Jolson, Roadside, Road to Qatar among others.
Michael performs frequently at the Central Synagogue Shabbat services in Manhattan. He has also played for the High Holidays at Lincoln Center and the 92nd St Y.
Michael can also be heard on the NBC Live productions of Sound of Music and Peter Pan as well as the soundtrack to the Producers movie.
Michael is married to French hornist Sara Della Posta. Their 13 year old son, Cole, refuses to practice his trombone.

His movie credits include: Hail, Caesar! – My Week With Marilyn – The Producers – as well as the Chicago movie soundtrack for which he composed and performed “A Tap Dance” which feature Richard Gere –Friday the 13th (parts 1-2-4).
He has been Mr. Norm Lewis’ drummer for the past 8 years and has recently did a 2 city tory with Rufus Wainwright. He also scheduled to do the up coming Broadway Disney production of Hercules.
