Healing TREE is hosting a virtual YayMaker “Paint Nite” on Saturday, July 18th 4-6pm est. Unleash your inner artist and go from a blank canvas to a masterpiece of your own. You will be provided with a list to bring your own supplies for this virtual event. The cost is $35 and $15 from each ticket goes towards supporting the Therapists of Color Collaborative with Healing TREE not taking anything. The Element of Discovery Therapist of Color Collaborative was founded to serve individuals of color with therapeutic services that are culturally responsive, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and delivered with compassion to advance racial equity in the mental health setting. They believe that “when therapy looks like you”, you feel safer to share your concerns without feeling misunderstood and feel a confidence in asking for the help that you deserve. The funds raised will go towards sponsoring BIPOC therapists to provide trauma-sensitive mental health services to BIPIOC clients in need who have been impacted by acts of abuse and violence. This is a way to also support a local Black-owned business @absolutely_alli @yaymakerlouisville.
